— THE START

About Our Founder

Uzobekee Dream On Foundation, d/b/a UDO FOUNDATION was founded by Regina Chinweze, a Los Angeles businesswoman; a certified Public Accountant, who was inspired by her own life experiences. Regina was born and raised in Nigeria, one of fourteen children and faced with societal expectations that limited her aspirations. While her family's aspiration for her was to get married after completing primary school, Regina had a bigger dream: she aspired to become a chartered accountant, a career path that was uncommon for women during that time, all while balancing her personal life of marriage and having children.

Not only did pursuing that goal require a significant amount of education, dedication, and perseverance, there were other challenges and obstacles which threatened to hinder her journey towards her dream. Achieving her dream would not have been possible without the help and support of kind-hearted and generous individuals who acted as Good Samaritans in her life. These compassionate individuals extended support in various forms that removed the immediate barriers in her path, culminating in her achieving her dream of becoming a chartered accountant, (Certified Public Accountant).

Her personal journey taught her the value of empowerment, education, and support for highly motivated women and girls who are facing similar challenges in society. Regina’s life experiences are the catalyst behind UDO Foundation.  The foundation's mission is to strive to break barriers in the path of highly motivated women and young girls, which might otherwise prevent them from achieving their full potential.

Such barrier breaking supports would include targeted financial assistance, mentorship, access to employment opportunities, and other empowerment strategies designed to help them to pursue their ambitions and dreams beyond societal limitations. Through the foundation's initiatives, Regina aims to make a positive impact on the lives of others and create a more equitable and supportive environment for women and girls to thrive.

— WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that removing barriers that impede women's progress and aspirations is not solely about individual empowerment; it is also a key strategy for achieving broader societal advancements. This endeavor represents an investment in a world that is both more prosperous, equitable, and harmonious.

When women overcome barriers to reach their goals and full potential, they become role models for others, inspiring younger generations to pursue their aspirations. This creates a positive cycle where empowered women actively contribute to a culture defined by empowerment and accomplishments.

Empowering women is essential to the health and social development of families, communities, and

countries.
